Parque de las Ciencias Free Zone, inaugurated in 2011 in Canelones, Uruguay, spans 88 hectares. Its mission is to attract investment in life sciences, high technology, and high–value‑added industries. From the beginning, the pharmaceutical sector has had a strong presence, which later expanded to include industrial, commercial, logistics, and service activities. Today, the Park is home to more than 115 companies from diverse sectors.

FREE TRADE ZONE REGIME
The Park operates under the Free Trade Zone Regime, granting companies access to tax exemptions, customs benefits, and an ecosystem designed to promote investment, job creation, and export growth. Regulated by Law 15,921, this regime has played a key role in positioning Uruguay as a stable, reliable destination for investors.
Growth and Development
Since its opening, the Park has experienced continuous growth, with investments exceeding USD 230 million, not including the Google Data Center, which occupies a 33‑hectare site and represents a project of national significance.
